Mental Health

Gear is fun, the technology in our field is great, and business tips are essential,  but over the years I’ve been focusing on something far more important. By no means have I ‘mastered’ this, nor would I say I’m great at it. However, I am AWARE of my mental state and put a big effort in my brain health.

As I’ve talked to others in our industry I see I’m not the only one fighting the harshness our career brings to our lives. It is a real thing. Might not be the most glamorous or fun thing to talk about but it has made the biggest impact on my career.

Before you read anything else, I need to make a very important disclaimer. I am by no means a professional in the mental health arena. I have no formal education in the topic. All I have is my experience and what works/doesn’t work for me. I invite you all to challenge, question, and add to the content I produce. If you are in need of immediate help, PLEASE call a professional. With that, I am open to talking to anyone that needs someone to talk to. I love it. Sometimes all we need is someone in our corner.

I will soon be rolling out blog posts related to this. Things to try, books to read, podcasts to listen to, and more. I appreciate everyone’s support. Feel free to contact me if you need anything or if you have anything to add to this. My hope is to build and loving and supporting group that builds all of us up.
